"Save the Planet"
We've been saying it for decades... The planet needs our help! We each have a personal responsibility to do our part in protecting the Earth.
Environmental Posters usually have a soft look to them. Many of them use colors of green and blue. A quick search reveals a plethora of suitable examples to draw inspiration from.

However, I wanted my poster to set a different tone. I wanted to express a sense urgency to the situation at hand. I drew inspiration for my poster from early Propaganda Posters that emerged out of the USSR. (www.bing.com/images/search?q=ussr+propoganda+posters&FORM=HDRSC2)
My illustration depicts the a Man contemplating his place in the world and his future to come. At the same time, I depict the Earth as part of a pendulum that sets about the certainty of time passing and the inevitability of colliding with a Naval Mine that is suspended adjacent to the Earth.
The source material for my poster comes from stock images on the internet (fotolia.com, adobe stock photos, and google earth), as well as from a photography my wife took of me at "Stone Mountain".
